Iligan, in the Northern Mindanao region of Philippines, is known as the “City of Majestic Waterfalls” because of the numerous waterfalls located within its area. There are about 24 waterfalls in the city. The most well known is the Maria Cristina Falls and the primary source of electric power of the city. Tinago Falls is one of the most visited waterfalls. The water plunges from a 240-feet high cliff into a deep blue-green natural pool that is ideal for swimming.
