Across Switzerland there are hundreds of military bunkers cleverly blended into Switzerland’s landscapes. The Swiss even hired artists and theater set designers to give the bunkers their make-overs to help them fit in with the local surroundings. The bunkers are hided behind well-disguised facades that have gone unnoticed for years.

Quanta splendida natura in queste immagini….
You’ve taken some amazing photos to discover the best kept secret of the Swiss.
who would expected this at the neutral Swiss…..
Interesting post. Shows that as well as military exigency, even then the Swiss valued their environment to camouflage these installations so well and blend them into the landscape…
Some bunkers! Reminds me of the abandoned military insalation Llucalary in Menorca, Spain. It was squatted from 2003 to 2005, and the occupants did a lot of work to make it beautiful. It lies in the edge of a 70 meter high cliff down into the sea. Here are some images. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I7cSwqpDZ5c http://imatgesdemenorca-magda.blogspot.com.es/2013/08/antiga-bateria-militar-de-llucalari.html?m=1
