The first image is my tribute to Twin Peaks (I love David Lynch’s films and that great, fun quirky show). Thanks for the kind words, everyone, and thanks for posting my images. It is very humbling and flattering to read such kind words.
Cheers, Nathan
PS The little island, for reasons I have never been able to figure out, is called Rat Rock Island– and it’s not big enough to build a house on, but you might be able to pitch a tent there.
Truly superb photography…
Brilliant pictures
Wow, some absolutely amazing photographs. Love them all!
These are some of the best B&W photo’s I have seen, truly magnificent!
The first photo reminds me of Twin Peaks.
Same, I’m sure it is!
Kind of eerie, mysterious and peaceful at the same time.
the soft edges are so tactile
Now those B&W photos I like. I don’t like it when people turn an ordinary snapshot into a B&W photo.
Incredible photos, with a feel of wonder and mystery in them.
Great pics. Thank you
Thank you for posting this. Almost magical pics. Made my morning.

Awesome photos! Really beautiful. I love the suspense, the fog, the sun. Thanks for sharing!
the more i look at that picture of that wonderful little island; the more I want to live there.
These are the photographs of someone who is a master, of the craft, and art and the science of photography. Accomplished is not the word. Personally I am blown away by the seventh and by the first picture in particular, the little island with the tree, and also the waterfall. (do you happen to know where they/it is?) Also very impressed by how you consistently find such brilliant images. and very grateful that you share them on this blog. Thank you.
Thank you for your nice words.
I found out in his Flickr page that the first photo was taken in Snoqualmie Falls, Washington and the seventh in Mcnears Beach, San Rafael, CA.
Thanks a million for that additional information, extremely kind and most interesting. If I am ever on the west coast USA, as I certainly hope to be some time in the not-too distant future, i shall try make a beeline for these two amazing spots. In fact I wonder if they would lease me the little tree island, at least for for a couple of years. It looks like a perfect home !
Cannot express how much I look forward to your posts. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing black & white !
Amazing and stunning!!
vraiment magnifique!
